A Battle-Hardened System Wins Out

For 21st Century Equipment, a growing 11-location John Deere dealer, a two-year search for the right dealer management system led to the selection of CDK Global. According to Karen Palm, systems manager for 21st Century Equipment, after reviewing a large number of systems, CDK stood out as a company providing a tested and “battle-hardened” system that could meet all of the dealership’s needs. The system needed to have the flexibility to work in a multi-entity and multi-location environment and CDK met those requirements.

During implementation, 21st Century Equipment was also pleased with the level of support provided. “CDK customized the training to the meet the needs of the dealership,” said Palm. She added that the training was appropriately focused around the employee’s job function and where that employee would find the system most useful.

With the knowledge that that CDK’s dealer management system is customizable, 21st Century Equipment has relied on CDK to keep its business moving forward. “When we needed to make changes or we had chosen the wrong set up, they helped us to make sure we are in the right set up with the right changes,” said Palm.
