Productivity tools and mobile applications added to meet changing dealership needs

LONDON, Ontario – June 2, 2014 – CDK Global Heavy Equipment, a business unit of the CDK® Dealer Services Division, released its latest Dealer Management System update today designed to help dealerships conduct more advanced business analysis and share information more easily both within the dealership and with customers. Named IntelliDealer DMS, the system has been enhanced to meet the changing needs of heavy equipment dealerships in both the construction and farm equipment markets.

The newly improved business system offers new capabilities in the area of data analytics, and also includes a range of CDK business tools designed to help dealerships increase business efficiency. Customers can pair the system with ID MobileAccess 2.0, CDK’s best-in-class mobile dealership management application.

Advanced Analytics
IntelliDealer users have the option of adding an application called Advanced Analytics that makes it easy for managers to analyze and create new insights from the information that’s available across dealership departments.

Advanced Analytics will be integrated with the dealer management system’s current performance monitoring dashboards and existing analytic tools. The application will add customizable reporting across business functions, cross tabulation and a range of graphing features. Dealers will be able to dive into department specific data through new interfaces built into existing departmental listing screens. System users will also have access to heat mapping, a visualization feature that uses color and the size of data points to make multi-dimensional reports easier to interpret.

Improved Productivity and Business Management
For improved productivity, IntelliDealer will feature recently developed product bundles for Service and Equipment that are designed to improve workflow and simplify dealer operations. Another new tool is the Margin Worksheet which enables dealers to manage and track margin throughout the sales cycle. The Margin Worksheet is intended to provide better visibility into the sales channel and help provide more accurate information for decision-making.

Dealers will also be able to improve productivity through Alert Management 2.0, an application which allows for automated communication via text or email between dealership departments or between dealership departments and customers. For example, the application can be used to notify customers and dealership employees when a special order part is available or when an equipment rental is due back to the dealership.

New Business Tools
In the area of mobile applications, CDK announced that it will extend its mobile capabilities to heavy equipment dealership customers. Later this summer, IntelliDealer users will have the option of adding a mobile application called MyDealer that enables customers to access their account and communicate with the dealership via mobile devices. The service will be available as part of a bundled offering with CDK’s current MyDealer Access application, a web-based portal for dealership customers.

In addition to these new applications, IntelliDealer will feature hundreds of enhancements to its existing features to improve functionality and performance. These improvements include improved user screen displays, a simplified partial parts ordering and parts transfer process, as well as improved work order and quote synchronization features.
